This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a CCTV Operator in Public Space Surveillance.
This qualification is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards setting body for the security industry and the SIA, which regulates the private security industry.
The course is delivered over four days, and includes training for the three following units:
- Working within the Private Security Industry
- Working as a CCTV Operator within the Private Security Industry
- Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment within the Private Security Industry
Please note, that CCTV operatives are likely, during their work, be required to make calls to the emergency services, communicate to ground staff and liaise with wider departments and teams. It is therefore essential that CCTV operatives are able to communicate clearly, and English communication skills will be assessed prior to the course delivery.
Training is regularly delivered in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, and at the rate of £300 per person. For group bookings of 6 or more, the training can be delivered at any site nationally, with discounts available.
