The Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship is suited for any apprentice who will be working in a role that involves providing a product or service to a customer, including face to face, telephone, digital and written communication. It teaches the apprentice to provide a high quality service to their customers and looks at how apprentices can influence the customer experience, the legalities of working within the role and maintaining customer satisfaction.
On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, the apprentice will have undertaken regular learning activities with their tutor to ensure that they fully:
- Know their customers
- Communicate with their customers
- Understand the customer experience
- Know their products and services
- Understand how their behaviour links to a company’s service offer and brand image
- Know how to work within a team
- Understand and can utilise customer service regulations and legislation
The apprentice will work with their tutor to create a portfolio of evidence to achieve their apprenticeship, with an end point assessment (EPA) by an external body.
The EPA gives the apprentice the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, behaviour and skills in the role of a customer service practitioner. This assessment includes observation of practice, a Q&A and an apprentice showcase where the apprentice demonstrates their knowledge of the subject through a report or formal presentation.
Alongside the delivery of the customer service qualification, C2C will also teach and develop functional skills in Maths and English, ensuring that the apprentices are trained to a minimum Level 2.
During this apprenticeship, C2C will also work with employers to ensure that the training meets the needs of the business and that of the apprentice. Prior to delivery, industry trained tutors will meet with the employer and the apprentice to identify any skills gaps and ensure the training is tailored to meet their needs.
It is important to note that C2C and their tutors are flexible in their delivery and will utilise a combination or group, one to one and distance learning sessions to train the apprentice.
