Apprenticeships provide a route of training and development that allows individuals to learn while they earn.
For all employers with an annual wage bill of more than £3m, there is an apprenticeship levy in place to support apprenticeship training and staff development needs.
The Apprenticeship levy provides large organisations with the opportunity to upskill existing staff, who require new skills and learning, alongside supporting organisations to employ and train new apprentices.
Whereby an employer has a wage bill over 3million per annum, 0.5% of this is allocated to the levy to enable employers to reinvest their money back into apprenticeships and their staff. This levy is linked directly to the employers PAYE, with the funds automatically being transferred to a digital account service.
